Job Description

We are looking for an IT Support Tech to join a CPA firm in Beachwood, Ohio on a Contract basis. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys hands-on computer preparation and takes pride in making sure devices are ready for end users. The position supports workstation setup, software preparation, and device readiness in an onsite environment with flexible weekday hours.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare desktop and laptop equipment by opening shipments, organizing components, and confirming items received match inventory records.
  • Perform initial workstation checks to verify devices power on properly and are ready for configuration.
  • Set up computers with standard operating system builds, including Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments.
  • Load hard drive images from approved company devices to support consistent system deployment.
  • Install required applications and adjust software settings based on business needs.
  • Remove existing data from previously used computers to prepare them for secure reassignment or reuse.
  • Document completed setup activities and maintain accurate tracking of device status throughout the preparation process.
