We're motivated by the desire to create real, measurable impacts through our work. - Role Overview Join a high-speed IT team of three supporting critical operations near WPAFB. This is an entry-level position designed for a motivated individual ready to launch their career in IT. We provide comprehensive On-the-Job Training (OJT) for all aspects of the role. You will be responsible for ensuring our local infrastructure remains mission-ready through hands-on hardware support, device management, and routine systems maintenance. As part of a small, 3-person team, you will gain high-level exposure to the entire IT lifecycle in a defense-contracting environment.
Duties & Responsibilities On-Site Technical Support:
Provide immediate troubleshooting for Windows and macOS workstations, iPads, and peripherals.
Lifecycle & Inventory:
Assist with managing hardware inventory and the "refresh" process (prepping, imaging, and deploying laptops for employees).
MDM & Updates:
Assist in managing devices via MDM (Mobile Device Management) and performing routine monthly tasks, such as ensuring all systems are fully patched and updated.
AV & Connectivity:
Maintain conference room Audio/Visual setups and perform basic Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
Immediate Response:
Act as the primary point of contact for "on-call" technical emergencies that arise during the business day.
Requirements:
REQUIRED
Eligible for a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance High School Diploma Able to work in-person M-F, 8am - 5pm (with 1 hour break) Able to work late or weekend hours as needed, with proper planning A solid foundational understanding of how computers and Wi-Fi work Able to lift up to 50 lbs and safely climb ladders for AV/cabling tasks
Mandatory Certification Timeline :
Obtain CompTIA A+ within 90 days of hire Obtain CompTIA Security+ within 6 months of hire DESIRED Familiarity with Linux environments Hardware repair experience Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field Existing IT certifications (A+, Sec+, Network+, etc.) Defense Work This role supports U.S. Department of War customers. Employees may be assigned to different projects over time, including projects involving defense operations.
