Salary $27.00 - $31.00 Hourly Location Delaware, OH Job Type Full-Time Job Number 2601301 Department Auditor's Office Division Data Processing Opening Date 06/17/2026 FLSA Non-Exempt Bargaining Unit N/A Objectives The Delaware County Auditor's Office-Data Processing Department is accepting applications for an IT Support specialist. This position is responsible for providing technical support and assisting County employees including troubleshooting hardware and software problems throughout all offices of the county. Job Standards Qualifications for this position are as follows: High School diploma or GED plus two years computer support experience or College Degree; Thorough knowledge of basic hardware and software systems; Efficient and effective problem-solving and analytical skills; Exceptional client service skills; Thorough knowledge of all Windows platforms; and Experience supporting M.S. Office products; Experience with Microsoft 365 preferred Essential Functions The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: Provides technical support to all county employees and agencies; Configures and installs new computer hardware and peripherals; Assists the Network Administrator in establishing new user and e-mail accounts; Maintains contacts with primary vendors and monitors vendors for current price points; Mitigates and remediates security vulnerabilities; Operates cabling scanner and metering equipment to trace network related problems; Prepares and maintains documentation of daily procedures and activities; Works independently with minimum supervision. Serves as the primary contact for calls made to the Help Desk.
