Job Description
Role Summary We are hiring a Technical Support Specialist to support a large retail store refresh initiative for one of our major clients. In this role, you will serve as a key technical escalation point, providing phone-based and back-end support to onsite technicians during equipment decommissions, installations, and provisioning activities. Your work will play a vital role in ensuring store environments remain operational, stable, and ready for customer use. In addition to real-time troubleshooting, you will assist with coordinating technical tasks, resolving system and network issues, and validating successful deployments across retail locations. This role offers hands-on exposure to enterprise retail technology in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Provide phone and remote technical support to onsite technicians during store refresh activities Assist with decommissioning, installation, and provisioning of hardware and systems Troubleshoot issues related to networks, systems/servers, and mobile devices Support point-of-sale (POS) and peripheral equipment as needed Document issues, resolutions, and escalations in a ticketing system Coordinate with internal teams to resolve technical challenges efficiently Verify system functionality and connectivity following installs or refreshes Escalate unresolved issues following defined support procedures Key Requirements 1+ years of experience in technical support, help desk, or IT-related roles (education or certifications accepted in lieu of experience) General technical aptitude; background may include hardware, systems, networks, or device support Comfort troubleshooting Windows-based environments and basic networking issues Experience supporting end users or field technicians in a service-oriented setting Familiarity with POS systems, retail technology, or store systems is a plus Exposure to retail, gas station, or multi-site environments is preferred Strong communication skills and ability to clearly explain technical issues Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment
Pay:
