Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Selects or recommends selection of candides for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignments in considerion of skills and qualificions, mission requirements, and EEO objectives. Develops, modifies, and/or interprets performance standards. Explains performance expections to employees and provides regular feedback on strengths and weaknesses. Recommends awards when approprie and approves within-grade increases. Hears and resolves employee complaints and refers serious unresolved complaints to higher level management. Plans work for accomplishment by subordine flights, sets squadron operional priorities, and approves operional schedules and commitments based on mission requirements, commander's intent, organizional capabilities and customer needs. Develops/publishes direction and/or guidance for subordine flights and operions staff members in order to implement operional plans, schedules, and commitments. Reviews work and management techniques of subordine supervisors. Makes decisions on work problems presented by subordine supervisors. Ensures CPT and/or ICS defense operional members are current in required training and certificions to maintain mission readiness. 3. Reviews incoming tasking orders, plans, or requests for forces and prepares summaries for review. Determines capability of operions personnel to meet requirements specified in tasking orders, plans, or requests for forces; identifies limitions concerning equipment capabilities, personnel, etc.; and coordines with tasking activities from government agencies on requirements. Develops supplemental plans to commit personnel and equipment in support of missions assigned by the group or higher headquarters, as well as local emergency plans. Advises higher headquarters and others, both in and outside the ste, on preparion of operions plans and orders annexes. 4. : All series personnel must be certified the next higher level before being eligible for th level and must have a minimum of one year on-the-job experience in the grade immediely below the next higher level.
