Job Summary:
Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a Process Support Engineer Req #S7058 in Hillsboro, OR to: Provide highly visible customer support on etch systems through the performance of on-site installation. Serve as liaison between the customer and the Business Unit for assigned projects, ensuring clear understanding of customer issues and delivery of applicable solutions. Work closely with customer to optimize etch system tool performance to meet customer process and integration requirements. Check and approve operational quality of system equipment. Identify problems and needs at the customer site and participate throughout the work cycle until the implementation of the solution. Participate in Customer Demo activities. Participate in SoW activities at customer sites. Application Qualification of new features. Generate and distribute Best Known Methods (BKMs) to the field. Travel and support customers onsite. Participates in Tier 2/3 installation. Participate in creating recipes to optimize etch system performance. Collaborate with cross domain teams such as Software, System, Algorithm and Hardware. Domestic and International travel up to 20% to provide hands-on equipment client support. May require relocation throughout the U.S.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field, and 2 years of experience in position offered or related occupation in semiconductor industry.
Requires education or experience in:
1. Check and approve operational quality of etch system equipment; 2. Endpoint system operation; 3. Understanding of plasma etch fundamentals and semiconductor fabrication and manufacturing; 4. Ability to manage the projects and align on next steps which leads to generation of revenue and business expansion; 5. Design of experiment; and 6. Data analysis.
Salary:
