Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a Process Support Engineer Req #S9315 in Hillsboro, OR to: Drive the adoption of new technologies at the customer site. Work closely with customers to demonstrate and evaluate new technologies at customer sites through process demonstrations, onsite evaluations, joint development programs and new tool qualifications. Serves as liaison between the customer and the Business Unit for assigned projects, ensuring clear understanding of customer issues and delivery of applicable solutions. Work closely with customers to optimize tool performance to meet customer process and integration requirements. Provide highly visible customer support through the performance of onsite installation, qualification, troubleshooting, diagnosis, service and repair of complex equipment and systems. Develop and execute exceptionally complex technology and engineering projects and lead R& D of new technologies as appropriate. Perform day to day process engineering for semiconductors including particle troubleshooting, process parameter targeting and documentation. Develop and qualify process recipes for new devices to fit customer needs. Perform metrology and statistical analysis of key performance parameters of semiconductor fab equipment. Qualify new equipment processes at customer sites. Conduct customer demonstration runs for new products. Run process and hardware cross-functional efforts providing successful customer outcomes to include device performance, quality and cost of ownership.Requirements:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical field, and 2 years of experience in position offered or related occupation.Requires education or experience in:
1. Semiconductor Processing Equipment including software interface, equipment configuration, equipment design, or process recipe theory; 2. Semiconductor wafer processing quality focus (green belt), and 6-sigma principles; 3. Statistical data analysis with JMP and MS Excel software; 4. Vacuum science, plasma physics, and semiconductor process theory; 5. Solving complex technical problems using model-based problem solving; 6. Selecting lab elemental analysis techniques and interpreting data to solve technical issues; and 7. Laboratory techniques including SEM, TEM, EDX, EELS, XPS or FTIR.Salary:
