Job Description
Cortex Residential is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Specialist to manage and support the day-to-day technology needs of our growing real estate and property management platform. This role requires strong technical and problem-solving skills, exceptional responsiveness, and the ability to independently manage technology needs across a growing organization. Responsibilities Provides day-to-day IT support and troubleshooting for employees across Cortex Residential's corporate and property-level operations. Sets up, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots computers, monitors, printers, mobile devices, and other technology and equipment. Manages employee onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective, including computers, email accounts, user permissions, and system access. Administers Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related applications. Manages user accounts, permissions, multi-factor authentication, password policies, and other access controls. Maintains and troubleshoots office networks, Wi-Fi, printers, conference room technology, and related IT infrastructure. Supports the Company's business and property management systems, including Yardi, and coordinates with third-party software providers as necessary. Maintains an accurate inventory of Company hardware, software, licenses, and other technology assets. Manages software licensing, renewals, technology procurement, and relationships with third-party technology vendors. Implements and maintains appropriate cybersecurity, endpoint protection, data security, backup, and access-control practices. Identifies opportunities to improve organizational efficiency through technology, automation, and systems integration. Develops and maintains internal IT documentation, procedures, and technology standards. Works proactively to identify and resolve technology issues before they impact business operations. Additional Responsibilities Assists with various technology, systems, and operational initiatives as they arise. Requirements Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Previous experience in information technology, systems administration, IT support, or a related role. Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 and Windows-based environments. Experience managing computers, user accounts, permissions, networks, and common business applications. General understanding of cybersecurity, data protection, endpoint security, and access-management best practices. Ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately in a constantly changing environment and act with a sense of urgency and accountability. Highly driven and values entrepreneurialism; works well within ambiguity. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to assist employees with varying levels of technical experience. Experience supporting a multi-location organization is preferred. Experience working with Yardi or within the real estate/property management industry is ideal, but not required.
