DESCRIPTION
Join the North America Digital Remote Services (DRS) Technical Support team and provide advanced remote technical support for Thermo Fisher Scientific's
  • Ion Chromatography (IC), Sample Preparation (SP), Liquid Chromatography (LC/HPLC), and Discrete Industrial Analyzer (DIA)
  • product portfolio. As a
  • Technical Support Specialist III
  • , you will partner with customers and Field Service Engineers to troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and application issues using remote diagnostic technologies.
You will collaborate with Product Management, R D, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Field Service to improve remote resolution, support new product introductions, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
+ Advanced Degree with 3+ years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience supporting analytical instrumentation, or equivalent industry experience. + Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or a related scientific or technical discipline preferred. + Hands-on experience supporting
  • Ion Chromatography (IC)
  • and
  • Sample Preparation (SP)
  • instrumentation in a technical support, field service, or laboratory environment; experience with Thermo Fisher Scientific instrumentation is preferred. + Experience using
  • Chromeleon™ Chromatography Data System
  • for instrument control, method development, data acquisition, and troubleshooting.
+ Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills involving analytical instrumentation, hardware, software, and laboratory applications. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to customers and colleagues with varying levels of technical expertise. + Demonstrated ability to build customer confidence through active listening, clear communication, and effective remote troubleshooting. + Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across customers, Field Service, Product Management, R D, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams. + Experience with Windows operating systems, networking fundamentals, CRM systems, and technical documentation. + Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, work independently, and manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong customer focus. + Ability to travel up to 15%. + Additional experience supporting Liquid Chromatography (LC/HPLC), Discrete Industrial Analyzer (DIA) systems, or other analytical instrumentation is considered an asset.
