Job Description
We are looking for a Desktop Support Analyst to provide front-line technical assistance in an education environment in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. This Long-term Contract position supports both students and staff by resolving everyday hardware and software issues through walk-up service, desk-side support, and classroom visits. The ideal candidate will be comfortable troubleshooting Chromebooks, Mac devices, and desktop workstations while delivering responsive, customer-focused service.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver first-level technical support for students and employees by diagnosing and resolving common device and access issues
- Provide in-person assistance at the support office for walk-up technology concerns from campus users
- Travel to classrooms and other on-site locations to address technical problems that require desk-side attention
- Troubleshoot and support Apple laptops used by staff, including operating system and basic hardware issues
- Assist students with Chromebook-related problems, including functionality, connectivity, and usability concerns
- Set up, maintain, and support desktop workstations to help ensure reliable day-to-day operations
- Document support requests, resolutions, and recurring issues to improve service efficiency and issue tracking
- Experience providing Tier 1 or front-line desktop support in an academic or service-focused setting
- Hands-on knowledge of desktop workstation troubleshooting and end-user support
- Familiarity with Chromebook support, including basic device configuration and issue resolution
- Working knowledge of Mac OS and support for Apple laptop environments
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess issues quickly and take appropriate action
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills for assisting students, faculty, and staff in person and by phone
- Ability to manage multiple support requests while maintaining a service-oriented approach Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.
