Job Description

IT Desktop Service Technician
LOCATION
Erie, PA
PRIMARY FUNCTION
As IT Desktop Services Engineer you will be a member of the Global IT Operations Team and report directly to the Regional IT Desktop Services Manager. Our task is not just a simple "keep the lights on" but to continuously improve the IT Operations on Global level. At Kyocera-AVX the IT Desktop Services department is the bridge between IT and Business and the first point of contact to the employees regarding hardware and software tasks. You are the specialist to troubleshooting IT technical issues, and your task to diagnose where the problem is and implement a solution or involve the appropriate IT Team to solve it together. You will ensure that the Corporate standards are followed on local level and actively suggest ideas how to make them better.

Ed Joyce, Regional IT Operations Manager
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide excellent IT Desktop Service to local and remote employees by promptly responding and troubleshooting user IT requests Set up and maintain desktops, laptops, multifunctional devices, HW and SW for employees. Provide new hires with basic introduction of hardware, software, and network resources Troubleshooting hardware and software issues and follow-up until they are solved Manage site company's IT assets and assist with hardware and software procurement Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on desktops, laptops, multifunctional devices Monitor the availability of IT systems through existing portals and log/resolve/escalate issues Follow IT standards, processes and policies - propose improvements of these Provide occasional services for Network, Servers and Security when the Corporate IT Teams ask local help Work in an international team and be part in a multicultural team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proven work experience as a Desktop Services Engineer or Support Technician High School Diploma required. Associate's degree or industry certifications preferred. Knowledge of ITIL Service Management and process execution Accuracy with work, strong organizational skills and attention to details Able to communicate in English - as you will work in a Regional team Strong Customer focus Ability to solve complex hardware and software issues Windows 7-11, Microsoft Active Directory, MS Office 365, Enterprise anti-virus solutions and PC hardware installation and troubleshooting Working experience in a manufacturing company is an advantage Experience with tools for User management, software deployment, Operating System deployment Basic network, firewall and servers knowledge Enterprise level IT backup and restore experience Willingness to travel 10%
