Job Description

About the Role As a Technical Field Support Specialist, you will serve as the primary technical expert for high-precision analytical and metallographic instrumentation. You will drive customer success by ensuring equipment reliability through expert troubleshooting, onsite repairs, and comprehensive user training, directly impacting the operational efficiency of our clients. Responsibilities Execute complex diagnostic, repair, and preventive maintenance procedures on advanced analytical systems to ensure peak performance. Manage the end-to-end installation process for new instrumentation and hardware upgrade kits at client facilities. Deliver high-quality technical training to end-users, covering instrument theory, software operation, and routine maintenance protocols. Maintain rigorous compliance with ISO accreditation standards during all service and repair activities. Cultivate strong professional relationships with clients by providing proactive support and expert technical guidance. Document all service interactions and equipment performance data to support continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Required Skills Technical degree or trade school certification in electronics, engineering, or a related field. Demonstrated proficiency in AC/DC electronics and mechanical troubleshooting. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences. Valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a clean driving record. Ability to travel extensively to support regional client sites. Authorization to work in the United States. Preferred Skills Prior experience in a field-based technical service or support role. Background in chemistry or military technical training. Proven ability to work independently in a remote, self-managed environment. Experience managing professional travel and expense reporting.
