Job Summary:
Provide technology integration support at the building level as it relates to hardware, software, and training in connection with district initiatives.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide assistance to classroom teachers in technology operations and software use and in the facilitation of technology in instructional settings as needed. Address end-user needs in the areas of desktop support and troubleshooting. Install and configure software and test software installations according to district protocol. Support student information system as well as teaching and learning software tools and web-based resources as appropriate in line with the building and district initiatives and outlined use. Ensure school technology and computer lab(s) are properly set up and operational for instruction. Conduct research of instructional resources, including software, Internet and hardware as appropriate for classroom teacher use. Serve as on-site help for technology within assigned building (i.e. mobile labs, library computers, classroom computers, office administration computers). Connect, configure and support peripherals, including but not limited to computer projectors, printers, scanners and PDA's. Utilize work request system to maintain records of all problems and resolutions relative to client computers and other technology systems and software. Assist in leading technology staff development as necessary. Assist with setup and breakdown of computer systems for various purposes including routine maintenance and presentations. Perform maintenance and repairs on assigned equipment as needed. Maintain building technology support capabilities in coordination with the lead teacher for technology and webmaster in the building. Performs other duties as assigned by the Network Manager or Director of Technology.
Qualifications:
Two (2) years experience in technology support and/or applications preferably in public education High School Diploma A+ certification or equivalent preferred Ability to learn new technology independently Working knowledge of computer operating systems, office software, educational software and Internet Familiarity with teacher grading software and student data/electronic report card systems Experience with desktops, laptops, printers and wireless technology in an educational setting

Pay Rate:
