Job Description

⭐ About Us American Business Systems (ABS) has been supporting water quality dealerships across the U.S. and Canada since 1982. We provide software solutions for customer management, billing, routing, mobile apps, and payment processing. We're a stable, long‑established company with a loyal customer base — and we're looking for someone who enjoys helping people and solving problems. ⭐ Position Overview We're seeking an Application Support Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for customers needing assistance with our business applications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys troubleshooting, training users, and delivering great customer service. This role is hybrid : work from home most days, with two in‑office days per week (currently Tuesday and Wednesday). ⭐ Key Responsibilities Serve as the initial point of contact for customer support via phone and remote tools Provide friendly, professional assistance to end‑users Troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate technical issues as needed Log and track all support incidents through resolution in Freshdesk Assist with product testing, documentation, and internal QA Contribute to knowledgebase articles, training materials, and process improvements Perform additional duties as assigned ⭐ Required Qualifications 2+ years in a customer‑facing or support‑focused role Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to manage multiple support tickets and tasks simultaneously Solid understanding of Windows and Microsoft Office Basic understanding of PC hardware setup and configuration Professional, patient, and customer‑focused demeanor ⭐ Preferred Qualifications Prior help desk or application support experience Working knowledge of Microsoft T‑SQL Experience creating user guides, documentation, or training content Familiarity with routing, service, or billing workflows Experience in the water quality industry (a plus, not required) ⭐ Why You'll Love Working Here Highly competitive salary + bonuses 100% employer‑paid medical, dental, and vision (single coverage) Generous paid time off Hybrid schedule with flexibility Small, stable company where your work has real impact Supportive team and long‑term customer relationships ⭐ Work Schedule Full‑time, 40 hours/week
