Job Summary We are seeking a Computer Technician
Helpdesk IT for a long-term contract opportunity in Cayce, SC.
This Tier I Desktop Support role is ideal for a customer-focused IT professional with hands-on experience supporting Windows environments, user accounts, hardware, software, and standard business applications. This position offers a steady Monday through Friday schedule, the opportunity to support state employees across multiple locations, and the potential to apply for a full-time position. You will work in a team-oriented IT support environment where professionalism, responsiveness, and quality service are valued. This is a strong opportunity for a technician who enjoys solving problems, interacting with users, and building long-term experience in enterprise IT support. Key Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact for IT support through phone, remote tools, email, ticketing system, and walk-up service.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, basic networking, user accounts, and standard applications.
Provide onsite support within assigned buildings, including workstation setup, peripheral installation, and general technical assistance.
Use remote support tools to diagnose and resolve incidents for users across multiple locations.
Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately in the IT service management platform.
Escalate complex or unresolved issues to higher-tier support teams according to established procedures. Compensation
Pay:
$20.00 per hour.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Employment type: Long-term temporary contract.
Local driving is required.
