We are a growing company providing modular wastewater treatment services and rapidly becoming a leader in our industry-nich. We are an engineer-led company that's genuinely dramatically reducing the amount of pollution entering the environment from this industry, it's a process I genuinely feel great to be a part of. Our model is DBOOM (design, build, own, operate) only our technicians touch our skids. We do not sell them, we only operate them as a service to our clients. Our system currently uses Siemens PLCs and while we initially would like to stick to that given our existing infrastructure, we are open to alternatives in the long run. We are hoping to find someone that can take ownership of the control system and help improve/expand our automation capabilities. Experience in water/wastewater treatment would be great, especially membrane treatment.
Responsibilities:
Maintain, develop, and expand controls system for automated modular membrane based wastewater treatment system. Maintain develop and expand the HMI to monitor and operate the system. Provide troubleshooting support for field techs. Assist with control system design modifications for site-specific needs for new deployments. Develop O&M plan for instrumentation and controls for deployed systems. Assist with system commissioning including panel design and fabrication support, QA/QC of instrument installation, HMI configuration, and remote access network configuration, data logging, and security.
Remote:
Required to be located in North Florida, but office/programming work can be done from home/remotely at your preference.
Travel:
Anticipate 10 to 30% travel depending on season/commissioning schedule, mostly day-trips. Our technicians are great trouble-shooters, and we don't anticipate a need to constantly travel to sites; however, site visits for familiarity and design feedback will be part of the role, as well as some higher-level field service if necessary. You would be welcome to work remotely for programming/office related tasks.
Technologies:
Siemens PLCs, instrumentation including flow meters, pressure meters, conductivity meters, VFDs and valve control.
