Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an Entry Level IT Professional to support a public-sector technology environment in Detroit, MI. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career IT professional with basic experience in technical support, application troubleshooting, user account management, SQL, software testing, and internal customer support. The selected candidate will work alongside IT staff to support business applications, resolve software-related issues, assist with testing activities, maintain user accounts, and help ensure internal systems operate effectively. Responsibilities Provide technical and application-level support to internal users. Troubleshoot basic software issues and escalate complex problems when needed. Assist with user account creation, configuration, permissions, and access updates. Support application testing, including documenting results and reporting issues. Assist with infrastructure and application maintenance tasks. Help investigate and resolve software errors and user-reported problems. Maintain documentation related to support activities, system changes, and user issues. Work with technical teams to support business workflows and internal customer requests. Assist with basic SQL queries, data validation, and reporting tasks as needed. Provide professional customer service and timely communication to users and team members. Required Qualifications Currently in the third year of a university program or recently graduated from an accredited college or university. Degree or coursework in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related technical/scientific field. Basic knowledge of operating systems, software applications, and troubleshooting methods. Basic understanding of SQL or databases. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to document issues clearly and follow established procedures. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Internship, help desk, application support, or IT support experience. Experience with Microsoft Office, ticketing systems, or user support tools. Exposure to software testing, QA, or business applications. Public-sector, utility, or enterprise IT experience is a plus.
Pay:
