Job Description

About the
Role:
TechDashers is launching a Pilot Program in the Orlando area, and we are looking for a small, dedicated team of technicians to help us refine our on-demand IT model. This isn't a typical 9-to-5; it's an opportunity to join a tech startup at the ground level, gain high-value experience for your portfolio, and earn extra money helping neighbors and small businesses.
What You'll Be Doing:
Execute High-Efficiency TechDashes:
Perform on-demand service calls for a wide range of issues, including hardware failures, blue-screen errors, and software conflicts. You'll handle these via secure remote sessions or on-site visits in the Orlando area.
Precision Diagnostics:
Conduct deep-dive technical assessments using our $25 (remote) and $40 (on-site) model. Your goal is to identify the root cause and provide a clear, professional path to resolution or repair.
Advanced Hardware & Software Repair:
Handle everything from laptop screen and battery replacements to OS reinstallation, malware removal, and system "de-bloating" to restore peak performance.
Custom Build & Optimization:
Assist clients with component selection, assembly, and cable management for high-end gaming rigs and professional workstations. This includes BIOS flashing, overclocking stability tests, and thermal optimization.
Network Architecture & Troubleshooting:
Set up and secure residential and small-office networks. You'll be configuring mesh Wi-Fi systems, troubleshooting "dead zones," and ensuring all peripheral devices (printers, NAS, IoT) are communicating perfectly.
Client Advocacy & Communication:
Translate complex technical issues into "neighborly" plain English for our clients. You'll be the face of the brand, maintaining our No-Fix, No-Fee standard through honest and transparent communication.
Pilot Program Collaboration:
Work directly with the founder to document "lessons learned" from each Dash. Your technical feedback will be used to build the standard operating procedures and scale the platform beyond the pilot phase. Why Join the Pilot?
Ultimate Schedule Autonomy:
Enjoy total flexibility with our on-demand model. You choose the TechDashes that fit your schedule and technical interests. Whether you're looking for high-impact side income or a way to stay sharp between other projects, you are in full control of your workload.
High-Value Portfolio Development:
Get hands-on exposure to a wide variety of hardware environments and complex technical puzzles. This isn't just "ticket-closing"; it's real-world problem-solving that provides measurable results you can add to your professional portfolio to jumpstart or accelerate your IT career.
Integrity-First Business Model:
Work with a platform that prioritizes transparency and ethics. Our simple, flat-rate pricing ( $25 Remote / $40 On-Site Diagnostics ) and our No-Fix, No-Fee Guarantee build immediate trust with clients, making your job easier and more rewarding. Gain "Founding Team"
Influence:
As a pilot-phase technician, you aren't just a number. You will have a direct line to the founder to provide feedback on our tools, workflows, and client interactions. Your insights will be the blueprint for how TechDashers scales across the Florida market.
Direct Local Impact:
Be part of a mission to provide Orlando's residents and small businesses with a better, more neighborly class of technical support. You'll be helping your community while building a reputation as a trusted local expert.
Requirements:
Proven Technical Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in IT support, computer repair, or a related field (field service experience is a major plus).
Advanced Troubleshooting:
Deep proficiency in diagnosing and repairing PC/Laptop hardware, OS issues (Windows 10/11, macOS), and software conflicts.
Networking Expertise:
Solid understanding of residential and small business networking, including router configuration, Wi-Fi mesh systems, and basic IoT integration.
Custom Build Proficiency:
Experience with component selection and assembly for high-performance gaming or workstation PCs. Professional Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certifications are highly valued for this pilot team.
Problem-Solving Mindset:
Ability to handle technical challenges independently and provide clear, professional paths to resolution for clients.
Reliable Mobility:
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for on-site visits in Orlando, Winter Park, or Winter Garden. Apply for the Pilot Team here: https://techdashers.com/become-a-techdasher/
Pay:
$25.00 - $40.00 per hour
Benefits:
Flexible schedule
