Our clients, located throughout North America, include environmental monitoring & research, oil & petrochemical industries, product and food quality control, pharmaceutical industries & more. As a leading distributor in the world for Nippon Instruments Corporation (Osaka, Japan) and a growing provider of products from A.Krüss Optronic (Hamburg, Germany), we maintain a warehouse of spare parts & accessories, have a full demonstration laboratory, and provide our clients with after sales support such as factory warranty, extended warranty contracts, as well as phone/email technical support. AGS Scientific is a small, yet growing business that focuses on being a true partner for our clients and an extended family to our employees. We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated & detail-oriented field support engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of hands-on experience servicing, installing, or supporting analytical laboratory instrumentation and excels in an independent work environment without the need for continuous supervision. An initial onboarding period will include: Familiarization with our company software systems and policies Helping with the processing of customer orders Answering customer questions via phone/email Help with additional duties in the office as needed Core responsibilities: Provide technical support to customers by troubleshooting software and hardware issues Travel within the USA and Canada to install, service, and repair mercury analyzers Travel to Japan (no more than once per year) for factory product training Collaborate with team members to improve customer support processes
