Help Desk Technician

Description A higher‑level IT Service Desk team is seeking a Help Desk Technician to provide remote support for a contract position. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for end users, responding to calls and emails, diagnosing technical issues, and guiding users through troubleshooting steps for both software and hardware. Responsibilities include logging and managing incidents, escalating complex issues to Tier 2 support, performing installations and configurations, and documenting interactions accurately. You will support a diverse user base and must demonstrate strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and solid technical fundamentals across both Windows and Apple environments. Additional duties include maintaining knowledge base articles, assisting during major incidents, and identifying opportunities for service improvement while ensuring timely follow-up and ownership of all user interactions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
