Laptop Refresh InitiativeDescription:
We are seeking an IT Deployment Specialist to participate in a laptop upgrade project for our US-based remote workforce. While the hardware is physically housed and shipped from our centralized warehouse, you will serve as a facilitator between that warehouse and the end-user. This role focuses on the logistical "magic " of getting new tech into employees' hands and getting old tech back—all without being in the same room as the hardware or the user. You will be the primary point of contact for remote users you are upgrading, ensuring their transition to new hardware is friction-less and professional. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFacilitate Laptop Exchanges/Upgrades:
Initiate the laptop refresh process per assigned user, which includes ticket creation, ensuring device shipments, and assisting with remote setup if necessary.Virtual Logistics Coordination:
Interface with the centralized warehouse team to trigger shipments, track deliveries, and ensure 100% equipment delivery and recoveryTroubleshooting:
Follow established runbooks to resolve any "Day 1 " issues remotely, such as VPN connectivity, software installations, or general OS/software configurations. Escalate any unresolvable issues to fellow IT team members.Documentation/Ticketing:
Maintain real-time updates in our ticket system and documentation to ensure we know the status of each replacement. Qualifications and SkillsTechnical Setup & Support:
2 years of experience in IT Support with focus on remote troubleshootingPlatform Knowledge:
Experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Windows, and MacOSCommunication :
Superior written and verbal communication. You must be able to guide users through hardware/software setups clearly over a video call.Organization :
High level of autonomy. You will be managing multiple laptop refresh requests concurrently and will need to be able to self-manage ticket load, support, shipping dates, and project deadlines across multiple US time zones. #TB_EN #ZR Why TalentBurst?
