Service and Support Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key role in providing help desk and onsite support to our customers while implementing and maintaining hosted and cloud solutions that meet their specific requirements. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting network and technical issues, ensuring smooth operations, and collaborating with our project engineering team for successful technology implementations.
PAY BASED ON EXPERIENCE
Basic Functions:
Help Desk & Onsite Support:
Administer hosted and cloud solutions, ensuring they align with customer needs. Implement and support basic remote access solutions, including VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix. Provide technical support for WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security. Maintain documentation for computer systems and network infrastructure. Offer help desk support for Microsoft's core business applications and virtual environments (Microsoft & VMware). Monitor system alerts and notifications and respond through service tickets. Provide onsite support for Microsoft-related technologies such as Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, etc.
Remote Access Solution Support:
Implement and support remote access solutions, including VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix. Offer remote technical support to end-users over the phone or internet. Assist with data file backups and restoration. Diagnose and resolve computer hardware and software issues. Install software and update drivers for operating system maintenance. Set up and troubleshoot computer hardware and peripherals. Ensure daily performance of computer systems and networks.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively. Escalate service or project issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levels.
Business awareness:
specific knowledge of the customer and how IT relates to their business strategy and goals. Maintain accurate technical and project documentation. Collaborate with the service coordinator for effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors. Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during projects. Complete project work as assigned and scheduled by the service coordinator within scope and time budget. Knowledge, Skills, and/or
Abilities Required:
Proven work experience in IT support, including help desk, onsite support, and remote technical assistance. Familiarity with Microsoft's core business applications and virtualization technologies. Knowledge of WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security. Experience in implementing and supporting remote access solutions (VPN, Terminal Services, Citrix). Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues. Strong customer service and communication skills. Cyber Security knowledge is a plus, including experience with
EDR & SIEM
tools. Proficiency in maintaining accurate technical and project documentation. Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:
BA/BS, preferably in computer science or a related field. 6+ years of IT experience.
