Job Description

MSP IT Support Representative Praxis Computing, Inc. - 4.2 Culver City, CA Job Details Full-time $50,000 - $60,000 a year 15 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Teamwork Windows IT infrastructure Remote access software macOS Desktop administration Help desk Full Job Description IT Support Technician (MSP) Do you get real satisfaction out of figuring out why something broke — and then making sure it stays fixed? Are you the kind of person who follows a rabbit hole until you actually understand how something works? If you've spent a year or two on a help desk but feel like the job has quietly become "close tickets as fast as possible" — with no time to actually learn anything — we should talk. At Praxis Computing, support work isn't a dead end. It's where most of our engineers got their start. Who We Are Praxis Computing is a Managed Service Provider supporting small and mid-sized businesses with their IT infrastructure. We've been at it since 1992, with the same focus the whole way: excellent customer service and a genuinely collaborative technical team. Unlike shops where technicians are siloed and left to sink or swim, our team works together every day — sharing what we know and learning from each other. This Isn't a Dead-End Help Desk Role You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with experienced engineers on real business environments, and you'll get exposure to technologies a lot of support techs never touch. As you grow, so does your responsibility. Many of our senior engineers started exactly where you'd be starting — and we'd rather grow our next engineer than hire one. What You'll Do Support businesses running Windows and macOS environments — helping users resolve issues and keeping their systems healthy. Day to day, that looks like:
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking problems
  • Supporting users by phone, remote access, and occasionally on-site
  • Documenting and maintaining support tickets
  • Assisting with system maintenance and equipment installs
  • Working alongside senior engineers on the harder problems Technologies You'll Get Hands-On With
  • Microsoft 365 and cloud services
  • Networking and security
  • Firewalls
  • Virtualization
  • Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
  • Network storage
  • VoIP systems
  • Video conferencing systems You won't know all of these on day one — and that's the point. You'll learn them here. You'll Thrive Here If You
  • Love learning how technology works, and dig until you understand it
  • Ask questions because you genuinely want the answer, not just the fix
  • Enjoy problems that take some research and critical thinking to crack
  • Take pride in helping people and explaining things clearly
  • Like working with a team and sharing what you figure out What We're Looking For
  • 1-2 years of IT support or help desk experience (MSP experience is a big plus)
  • Solid troubleshooting instincts
  • Strong customer-service skills
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Real curiosity and a desire to keep growing We care as much about curiosity and initiative as we do about what you already know.
If you get a little excited about learning something new every day, you'll fit right in — and if you're just looking to punch a clock, this probably isn't the place. Location In-office in Culver City during training, then hybrid — two days a week remote, with occasional visits to client sites. Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range listed with this posting, plus bonus opportunities
  • 401(k) plan
  • Medical / Dental / Vision
  • Paid time off Why Praxis?
We think the best technicians never stop learning — so we've built a team where questions are welcome, knowledge gets shared, and people are genuinely invested in each other's growth. Instead of doing the same repetitive work every day, you'll see new technologies, real business environments, and engineers who actually enjoy mentoring. If you're curious, motivated, and want to build a real IT career with people who'll help you get there, we'd love to hear from you.
