Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Laser Programmer for a permanent, long-term opportunity with our client in Spartanburg SC. In this role, you will be the technical bridge between digital designs and physical production, transforming customer blueprints into high-performance programs for CO2 and Fiber laser systems. You will collaborate directly with the sheet metal fabrication team to maximize material yield and ensure every cut meets rigorous quality standards.
Key Responsibilities CNC Programming:
Develop and optimize programs for CO2 and Fiber laser cutting machines using advanced CAD/CAM software.
Nesting & Efficiency:
Convert customer part files into nested layouts to ensure optimal material utilization and minimal waste.
Production Support:
Work closely with the fabrication shop to troubleshoot programs and enhance cutting performance.
Quality Control:
Review and verify programs prior to production to identify and resolve potential errors.
Qualifications Experience:
3+ years of dedicated experience in CNC programming or operation, specifically for laser cutting systems.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD , SolidWorks , BySoft CAD/CAM ).
Material Expertise:
Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication, specifically working with aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Detail Oriented:
Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and catch programming inconsistencies before they hit the floor.
