Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Mechanical design engineer. in the Spartanburg SC area.

Salary range:

80k to 105k We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Design engineer for a long-term, on-site opportunity with a client in the Spartanburg, SC area. This role focuses on the end-to-end design and detailing of custom sheet metal machinery. In this position, you will bridge the gap between concept and creation, collaborating closely with Project Management and Manufacturing to ensure every design is optimized for fabrication and meets precise customer specs.

Core Responsibilities Design & Drafting:

Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings of custom machinery using SolidWorks and AutoCAD .

Collaboration:

Partner with production teams to streamline assembly and resolve technical hurdles on the shop floor.

Technical Analysis:

Perform necessary engineering calculations and interpret complex technical data to ensure machine integrity.

Systems Integration:

Develop designs for sheet metal components, weldments, and mechanical assemblies, including pneumatic and hydraulic circuits. What You'll Need to

Succeed Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an Associate's in Mechanical Technology.

Experience:

2+ years in a dedicated machine design environment.

Software Mastery:

Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD .

Technical Breadth:

Proven experience with sheet metal, weldments, and fluid power (pneumatics/hydraulics).

Tools:

Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft 365.
