Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Computer Technician to join our IT team. This position will provide technical support to employees, troubleshoot computer and network issues, install and maintain hardware and software, and assist with the day-to-day operation of our technology systems.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, able to troubleshoot problems effectively, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to employees for computer, software, and technology-related issues.

Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop computers.

Install and update software, operating systems, and applications.

Troubleshoot printers, scanners, monitors, and other peripheral devices.

Assist with basic network and connectivity issues.

Set up computers, user accounts, and equipment for new employees.

Maintain accurate records of IT equipment and inventory.

Respond to help-desk requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Assist with system updates, backups, security measures, and other IT projects.

Escalate complex technical issues when necessary.

Provide friendly and professional customer service to staff.

Perform other IT-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Associate degree (2-year degree, or working toward) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and networking.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple requests.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong customer-service skills.

Valid driver's license may be required depending on job duties.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Windows computers and Microsoft 365.

Familiarity with Active Directory and basic network administration.

CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certification.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and move computer equipment and other IT hardware.

Ability to sit, stand, bend, and work at a computer for extended periods.

Ability to travel between school locations, if required.
