IT Field Operations Technician (TN, Knoxville/Alcoa)TN, Knoxville/Alcoa About the Role Five Star Breaktime Solutions is a premier provider of away-from-home convenience services, committed to delivering innovative breaktime solutions that enhance customer experiences. We're looking for a Field IT Technician to install, connect, and support the technology behind our micro markets. You'll serve as the primary installer for kiosks and camera systems, attend site surveys with management for new accounts and conversions, and negotiate and establish network connections at every new location. You'll also monitor connectivity across active sites and work directly with clients' firewall and IT teams to troubleshoot and restore service when issues arise. Day to day, you'll maintain cameras and DVR systems, complete service calls across all market locations, keep wireless device data accurate, and manage parts inventory, warranty credits, and returns for the market line of business. You'll support handheld inventory devices, lend a hand to our Corporate IT infrastructure team, and back up other retail lines of business when needed. Key Responsibilities + Serves as primary installer for micro market kiosks and camera systems, and attends site surveys with management for new accounts and conversions to support layout planning. + Negotiates and establishes network connections for all new accounts, and monitors connectivity to ensure existing accounts stay online. + Partners with clients' firewall and IT teams to troubleshoot and restore network connections, and provides support to the Corporate IT infrastructure team as needed. + Maintains cameras and DVR systems across all markets and completes service calls for all market locations. + Maintains accurate data on wireless solution devices and supports handheld devices used for inventory management. + Manages parts inventory for the market line of business, including warranty credits and parts returns, and supports all lines of retail business as needed. + Maintains a clean, safe work environment, performs all work safely, and notifies Senior Management of any information that would benefit account retention or jeopardize the business. Required Qualifications + High school diploma or GED. + Basic networking knowledge. + Valid driver's license and clean driving record. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). + Must be able to consent to a drug screen and pre-employment background check. + Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds. + Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the route. + Must be at least 21 for DOT requirements.
