Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a dedicated Healthcare IT Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to healthcare professionals and staff. You will ensure that all IT systems, applications, and hardware are functioning optimally to support the delivery of high-quality patient care. Your duties will include troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining and upgrading IT systems, and providing training to staff on the use of healthcare technology. You will work closely with other IT professionals, healthcare providers, and vendors to ensure that all IT-related needs are met efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, with specific experience in a healthcare setting. You should be familiar with healthcare regulations and standards, such as HIPAA, and have a good understanding of electronic health records (EHR) systems. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as you will be working with a diverse group of users with varying levels of technical expertise. Provide technical support to healthcare staff and professionals. Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues related to hardware, software, and network systems. Maintain and upgrade IT systems and applications. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, such as HIPAA. Assist with the implementation and maintenance of electronic health records (EHR) systems. Provide training to staff on the use of healthcare technology and sending E-PHI & assist employees with creating Secure signatures Collaborate with other IT professionals, healthcare providers, and vendors. Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functionality. Document technical issues and solutions. Participate in IT projects and initiatives. Ensure data security and privacy. Manage user accounts and access permissions. Perform regular system backups and recovery procedures. Stay updated on the latest healthcare IT trends and technologies. Provide on-call support as needed. Assist with the development of IT policies and procedures. Support telehealth and remote patient monitoring systems. Manage IT inventory and procurement. Conduct regular system audits and assessments. Provide excellent customer service to all users. Maintain Website and Domain Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a healthcare setting Experience with behavioral health EHR systems (e.g., Qualifacts Carelogic preferred). Background in health information management (HIM) or data analysis. Understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality regulations. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with network and server management. Experience with data security and privacy practices. Ability to provide training and support to non-technical users. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Experience with telehealth and remote patient monitoring systems is a plus. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar are preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong attention to detail. Ability to lift and move IT equipment as needed. Willingness to provide on-call support. Knowledge of healthcare IT trends and technologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other common software applications.Similar remote jobs
