: Perform complex (journey-level) technical work supporting networked connected vehicle, specialized law enforcement, mobility platforms and field operations. Work may involve assisting and developing skills to support specific cloud services, connected officer and specialized law enforcement technologies in networked environments, virtual private network clients, and video streaming platforms across a statewide system. Provide support to multiple operating systems, software, and Mobile Networking Wireless technology. Work under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.Note:
Depending on assignment, duties will focus in one of the below areas:- Specialty
- Imaging and maintaining computer systems, supporting specialized equipment, managing user accounts, and training staff.
- Mobility
- Mobile device support, inventory and carrier account management, security, updates, and working with vendors to improve mobile hardware and apps.

1. Support connected officer technologies specialized law enforcement, mobility platforms, field operations, and complex network systems; document and recommend technology supporting the mission of the department. (Specialty and Mobility) 2. May provide support for networked connected officer platforms, cloud-based video systems, specific client systems, and determining the cause of problems and recommend solutions. (Specialty) 3. Perform advanced support and maintenance to networked connected vehicles, and/or specialized law enforcement systems, mobility platforms and various field systems. Support the configurations, installations, and updates needed to maintain the software applications developed. (Specialty) 4. Receive, install, identify, and test configurations of personal computer hardware, software, and mobility products across a statewide platform inclusive of networked connected officer technologies. Troubleshoot operating problems by telephone or in person to diagnose and resolve operating problems. (Specialty and Mobility) 5. Maintain current and future knowledge of standards, protocols, and enhancements for connected officer platforms, specialized law enforcement systems, mobility systems, cloud-based video systems, and computer hardware and software applications. (Specialty and Mobility) 6. Respond to agency supported disasters including mobile command requests, disaster events, DDC, and SOC operations. (Specialty and Mobility) 7. May identify and address operating problems in hardware and/or software systems in WAN, LAN, stand-alone or host-integrated systems to determine the causes of malfunctions and perform corrective actions required to return the malfunctioning equipment to reliable operating status with minimum loss of operating time. (Mobility) 8. Schedule and prioritize tasks that may be divergent, integrated, or concurrent in accordance with specific importance, magnitude, and urgency. (Specialty and Mobility) 9. Work effectively on multiple projects that progress concurrently and to effectively prioritize activities according to mandated and operational needs. (Specialty) 10. Advanced knowledge and understanding of cloud technology to include maintaining secure virtual environments, migrating information and services into the cloud, managing cloud environments in accordance with department security guidelines, and supporting cloud-based applications. (Specialty) 11. Attend work regularly and observe approved work hours in accordance with agency leave and attendance policies. (Specialty and Mobility) 12. Perform other duties as assigned. (Specialty and Mobility) Qualifications GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS andREQUIREMENTS
Education- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in Computer Science, Data Processing, or a related field is required. Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience involving the support of hardware and software configurations in a networked environment, including work experience in resolution for wireless networking management technology is preferred.

Additional work experience of the type described or other related education may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis. Licensure and/or Certification- Must possess a valid driver license from state of residence.

- Preferred knowledge of hardware and software designed for WAN connectivity and of WAN, LAN and MAN configurations and communications requirements; installation and configuration of hardware devices utilized in interconnectivity of LANs and networks, personal computers and peripheral devices; mobile wireless networking technology; disaster recovery processes; business practices and procedures involving processing, retention and manipulation of large volumes of data and of the capabilities and limitations of personal computers; operating characteristics and procedures of operating systems; and of hardware and software diagnostic and corrective tools for use on personal computers and LAN servers.
