To be the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance regarding technology issues. Will provide detailed technical phone support for users, will be responsible for tracking incoming calls in a trouble-ticket call-tracking system, and will be responsible for call escalation and routing to appropriate technology personnel.Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a computer related field preferred Preferred certifications include CompTIA A+ CompTIA Network+, or any relevant Microsoft certificationsSpecial Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Proficient in the support of computers, software, printers, and related peripherals Thorough understanding of networking concepts and capabilities Proficient understanding of how to manage user and computer objects in Active Directory, including organizational unit structure Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to communicate and work well in a large diverse workforce Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitaskExperience:
Minimum of two (2) years of technical support experience requiredMajor Responsibilities and Duties:
Telephone and Technical Support Perform detailed phone support for any user requesting assistance with technology related issues while providing a high level of customer service. Assist, diagnose, and resolve technology problems relating to computers, laptops, software, peripherals, and related technologies. Provide detailed technical support for the Microsoft family of products; including Windows Operating Systems and Office 365. Provide basic network administration tasks such as user account resets, password resets, and print queue monitoring. Installation and setup of computers, software, peripherals, and other technology equipment. Provide technical support for other software and hardware as assigned by the Manager of Help Desk and Administrative Technical Support. Records and Reports Keep detailed technical support records in a district trouble-ticket call-tracking system. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required. Other Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. Maintain an appropriate level of technology competence to meet the current and future needs of Alief. Implement alternative methods of instruction as needed. Salary Range Min. $65,197 Mid. $76,947 Max. $88,699 (Based on previous experience) Salaries are determined by the number of completed and eligible years of service at an accredited school. Salary is based on 235 days. If working less than 235 days, the salary will be less.Internal employees:
