Job Description

Computer Technician Installs and configures computer workstations, associated peripheral devices, and local area networks. The employee will have the responsibility of: Maintaining and providing technical support for all audio/video devices, overhead projector, and smart board deployed on all city designated conference, events, and general-purpose rooms Responding to all open support tickets created and assigned within a defined Service Level Agreement (SLA) Providing technical security analysis of open threats and mitigation recommendation Identifying and defining system security requirements, conducting Windows security vulnerability assessments, and conducting analysis on system logs and malware Assisting in the development of policies and procedures for enterprise security infrastructure Resolving computer systems problems to ensure uptime for user's access to City of Killeen systems Installing or repairing Windows computers with standardized applications and software As an employee with the city of Killeen some benefits are: Health insurance from Blue Cross Blue Shield of TX Dental and Vision insurance Life insurance Retirement through TMRS (Optional 4579(b) Accounts) Paid Vacation and Sick Leave 13 paid holidays
Wellness Events & Free Gym Membership Required Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent, and Three (3) years' experience in computer technical support; or Any equivalent combination of education and experience A+, Security+, Network+ and Microsoft certifications are preferred Any equivalent combination of education and experience
Special Requirements:
Must have a valid Texas driver's license by date-of-hire Must be able to pass FBI criminal background fingerprint check and have the ability to comply with state and federal requirements for criminal justice information security standards
