Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a department as well as the monitoring operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise staff or student assistants. Texas Tech K-12 began in 1993 as a "Special Purpose District" designed to help students whose educational needs were not adequately met by traditional school districts. Since then, we have grown to serve students across the country and more than 70 nations around the world. Major/Essential Functions Responsible for the administration, support, maintenance, and optimization of the Student Information System (SIS). Serves as one of the primary points of contacts for staff, students, and customers regarding system functionality, processes, and troubleshooting. Provides technical support, manages daily system operations, resolves user issues through ticketing systems, and participates in system enhancement projects to improve efficiency and user experience. Provide functional and technical support for the Student Information System (SIS) and Learning Management System (LMS) and related applications. Perform monthly system maintenance, operational processes, and routine administrative tasks associated with the SIS. Develop, maintain, and update system documentation, procedures, user guides, and training materials. Assist in training staff and end users on system functionality and processes. Collaborate with vendors, IT staff, and departmental stakeholders on system upgrades, integrations, and enhancements. Participate in testing, implementation, and project management activities related to SIS improvements. Provide Support for departmental platforms, software, and technologies. Respond to and resolve support requests submitted through the ticketing system, ensuring timely and effective customer service. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years related experience; OR a combination of education and/or progressively responsible related experience to equal six (6) years. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or higher in Educational Technology, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience supporting K-12 Student Information Systems. Experience working in a K-12 school district or educational service environment. Experience with data reporting tools, SQL, or database management. Knowledge of system administration principles and practices related to K-12 educational technology systems, including user account management, role-based security, permissions, system configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of enterprise applications. Experience supporting Student Information Systems or similar platforms. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users in a clear and understandable manner. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with SQL queries, reporting tools, and data analysis.
