Job Description
iCode Providence Village is a woman-owned STEM school teaching kids ages 5-15 to code, build robots, design games, and think like engineers. We're looking for an instructor who genuinely loves technology and loves working with kids — someone who can make a 10-year-old feel like a real developer the moment they walk into class. This is a part-time role with flexible scheduling — ideal for college students, educators, or tech professionals looking for meaningful work outside their main job. What You'll Do Teach coding, robotics, and game development using iCode's structured curriculum Run engaging, hands-on classes for small groups of kids ages 5-15 Track student progress through iCode's belt system and send weekly updates to parents Keep the classroom organized, productive, and fun Work alongside fellow instructors to continuously improve the student experience What You Need Proficiency in at least two of the following: Python, JavaScript, Scratch, Minecraft Education, Roblox Studio, or VEX Robotics Experience teaching, tutoring, or mentoring kids in any setting — formal or informal Ability to break down complex concepts so a 7-year-old actually gets it Strong communication skills and a calm, patient classroom presence Reliable, punctual, and genuinely excited about STEM Bonus points if you have: A background in computer science, engineering, or education Experience with Minecraft modding or Roblox development Familiarity with classroom management tools What You Get $15-$16/hour, 16-24 hours per week Flexible schedule that works around school or another job Professional development in STEM teaching A classroom full of kids who will genuinely think you're the coolest person they've ever met Details Part-time, in-person
