Linux Python Full Job Description Job Summary:

The Parking Guidance Systems IT Specialist is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing the organizational IT infrastructure; planning and executing consistently reliable set up and testing of customer servers, switches, and systems; and ensuring the reliable operation of hardware, software, and network systems through prevention, proactive management, and timely resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems and Parking Guidance Systems solutions Proactively monitor and maintain servers, desktops, notebooks, switches, and PGS devices to deliver optimal performance and minimal downtime Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for customers and internal users in a timely manner with a sense of urgency Manage and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access controls to prevent expired credentials and failed logins Implement and maintain IT security measures, including firewalls, antivirus, and patch management.to prevent security issues Assist in deploying and supporting enterprise applications and cloud services Monitor system performance and perform routine backups to ensure data integrity and business continuity. Write and maintain basic scripts and programs to continue automating tasks that improve team efficiency and operations Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference with cross-team collaboration and sign-off Learn and demonstrate growing application of AI and other prioritized emerging technologies, making recommendations for the IT team

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Typically 3-5 years of proven experience in IT support, network administration, or systems administration. Strong working knowledge of Windows, MacOS, and/or Linux operating systems Knowledge of and experience with network architecture, configuration, management, networking protocols, VPNs, firewalls, and switches Experience setting up and/or maintaining cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus Basic coding & programming skills to create scripts and/or fundamental applications (e.g., Python, PowerShell, JavaScript) Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills

Pay:

$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
