Position Summary:
The IT Application Specialist is responsible for managing the lifecycle of user accounts and access in both automotive dealership systems (such as DMS, CRM, parts, service, accounting platforms) and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This role ensures that all technology-related onboarding and offboarding processes are secure, timely, and compliant with internal policies and security standards. This position will also support dealership users, workstations, phones, infrastructure, mobile devices, security systems, and any/all related IT projects. Here is what you will be doing: Coordinate and execute all aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding across dealership systems and Microsoft 365. Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts in systems such as
CDK, CRM
platforms (e.g., eLeads, CDK, vAuto, Reverse Risk.), OEM portals, and M365 (Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint). Maintain documentation for account access procedures and provisioning Work with Recruiting/HR and department managers to ensure access is provisioned accurately and promptly on hire and removed immediately upon termination. Manage and configure M365 licenses, security groups, and email aliases. Support MFA enrollment and security compliance initiatives related to user access. Troubleshoot user access issues and provide first-level support for login and credential problems. Maintain records of system access within help desk ticketing system and ensure compliance with dealership security and privacy policies. Assist with regular audits and reporting related to account activity, access controls, and license utilization. Assist in Dealership support for all IT issues and related projects. Installs, troubleshoots, and supports all information systems, hardware, PC, and equipment Here is what you need: People skills, first and foremost. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude along with a genuine desire to service the end user/client. IT experience with account provisioning, preferably in a dealership or automotive environment. Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 admin tools and user management. Strong understanding of user identity lifecycle management and their associated IT security user access control principles. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Active Directory and Azure AD. Familiarity with common DMS and CRM platforms such as CDK, eLeads, Reverse Risk, phone system, etc.. Experience with ITSM or ticketing platforms (e.g., ConnectWise, SysAid, Zendesk, ServiceNow). Basic scripting or PowerShell knowledge for automation of user provisioning tasks. Soft Skills Strong communication and collaboration skills. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently. Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Primarily office-based with occasional travel to dealership locations for on-site support. Will have to provide on-call for after-hours support and weekend support, periodically. May require lifting up too 100 pounds for IT equipment handling
