Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled IT Specialist to join our innovative technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure, ensuring system security, and supporting a wide range of IT operations. Your expertise will drive the seamless functioning of our computer networks, servers, and security protocols, enabling our organization to operate efficiently and securely. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT environment. Responsibilities Manage and support network infrastructure including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), routers, switches, and firewall configurations such as Cisco ASA and Juniper devices. Implement and maintain network security measures using IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), IPSec VPNs, Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine), LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), SSO (Single Sign-On), and PKI (Public Key Infrastructure). Oversee system administration tasks across operating systems like Windows, Linux distributions such as Debian, CentOS, openSUSE, Ubuntu, Solaris, BSD, and macOS. Configure and manage virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere/ESXi and Citrix environments to ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness. Conduct vulnerability assessments, system hardening, network monitoring with SolarWinds or PRTG, and perform regular network support activities to ensure optimal performance. Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Shell Scripting to streamline operations. Support remote access solutions including VPNs, SSH, SFTP, FTP, and remote desktop tools to facilitate secure connectivity for distributed teams. Collaborate within Agile teams utilizing DevOps practices for continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Ansible or other automation tools. Maintain comprehensive documentation of network architecture, configurations, security protocols, and incident reports following ITIL standards. Experience Proven experience managing complex computer networks with a strong understanding of routing protocols like
OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
; network protocols including TCP/IP; and network architecture design. Hands-on experience with network security tools such as IDS/IPS systems, firewalls (Cisco ASA), encryption technologies like SSL/TLS; and implementing high availability solutions across diverse environments. Demonstrated ability to administer enterprise systems on platforms such as Windows Server environments and Linux distributions like Debian or CentOS. Familiarity with cloud services including AWS and Azure for infrastructure deployment and management. Knowledge of SAN (Storage Area Network) management including RAID controllers; experience working with VMware vSphere/vCenter; and proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation purposes. Strong understanding of network installation procedures, DNS/DHCP configuration, GPO management in Active Directory environments, and network monitoring tools Ability to perform vulnerability assessments using industry-standard tools; conduct system hardening; implement load balancing solutions; and support network engineering projects involving MPLS or MPLS VPNs.
