Job Description

IT Support Technician SidNetworks Tyler, TX Job Details Full-time $42,000 - $50,000 a year 1 hour ago Benefits Mileage reimbursement 401(k) 3% Match Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Tuition reimbursement Paid time off Cell phone reimbursement Parental leave Vision insurance 401(k) matching Retirement plan Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description SidNetworks is a locally owned Managed IT Services Provider (MSP) helping small and medium-sized businesses in the Tyler area keep their technology running smoothly and securely. We're known for fast response times, exceptional customer service, and a team that genuinely cares about the people we support. We're growing and looking for an IT Support Technician who enjoys solving problems, learning new things, and helping others. This is not a script-reading, ticket-closing kind of job. Our technicians troubleshoot a wide variety of issues across multiple businesses, make decisions, and work independently. You'll need to think critically, understand how technology fits together, and know when to dig deeper rather than settle for a quick fix. If you enjoy variety, can switch gears when priorities change, and get satisfaction from figuring out a problem others can't, you might be a great fit! What You'll Do Provide technical support to clients by phone, email, remote access, and in-person visits. Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and Microsoft 365 issues. Investigate problems, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions. Manage multiple tickets and competing priorities without losing sight of the details. Communicate clearly with everyone from front-desk staff to business owners and executives. Take ownership of issues, follow through on solutions, and keep clients informed along the way. Collaborate with teammates, share knowledge, and continue developing your technical skills. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who combines technical ability with initiative, curiosity, and strong people skills. A problem-solver. You think critically, look for root causes, and understand that the first obvious answer isn't always the right one. A self-starter. You can work independently, research unfamiliar problems, and make progress without needing someone to walk you through every step. Comfortable with variety. You can shift between different clients, technologies, and priorities throughout the day and stay organized. A strong communicator. You can talk comfortably with people at every level of an organization and explain technical issues in plain English. Customer-focused. You understand that the way you treat people matters just as much as the technical solution you provide. Eager to learn. Technology is always changing, and you enjoy building your knowledge rather than relying on what you already know. Experience & Education Our ideal candidate has 1-3 years of IT support experience and an associate degree in Network Technology, Systems Administration, or a related field. That combination would help you hit the ground running. We're also open to a recent graduate with a solid technical foundation, strong networking knowledge, and the right mindset. The degree and experience are preferred, not absolute requirements. However, this position does require a working knowledge of IT fundamentals. If you've never worked with technology beyond everyday personal use, or your experience is limited to following predetermined troubleshooting scripts in a call center, this probably isn't the right fit. We can teach you how we do things at SidNetworks. We're looking for someone who already has the foundation and initiative to build on. Work Environment & Schedule This is an in-person position based out of our Tyler office, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You'll work from the office and travel to client locations as needed, so reliable transportation is required. Mileage is reimbursed each pay period. Benefits Include 401(k) with a 3% company match Concierge medical plan Vision insurance Dental insurance 80 hours of vacation 40 hours of sick time Mileage reimbursement Tuition reimbursement Cell phone allowance Company-provided uniforms About SidNetworks We're a local IT company with a simple philosophy: take care of people, respond quickly, and do what you say you're going to do. Our team has earned a reputation for friendly, helpful service and fast response times. Don't take our word for it, look us up on Google and see what our clients say about our team. If you're technically curious, comfortable taking initiative, and enjoy helping people, we'd love to hear from you. Apply with your resume and a brief cover letter telling us why you'd be a great fit for SidNetworks.
