Technology Support Specialist II -
Field Please Provide:
Cover Letter Resume Three Letters of Recommendation This position is an on-site role. Position Overview The Technology Support Specialist II - Field provides on-site technical support to district staff by diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, assisting users with technology systems, maintaining documentation, and supporting district technology infrastructure through field service and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities Respond to end-user requests for technology assistance and troubleshooting support. Perform on-site repairs and system configuration for computers, software, and related equipment. Utilize ticketing systems and diagnostic tools to track and resolve support requests. Install software updates, system configurations, and backup processes for district computers. Maintain documentation and help desk records related to support activities. Develop user guides and resource materials to support technology use. Provide guidance and support to district staff regarding technology tools and systems. Access software updates, knowledge bases, and online resources to resolve technical issues. Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions related to technology services. Maintain accurate records of support activities and system maintenance. Perform other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements - Minimum Qualifications Skills Diagnosing and resolving technical problems Maintaining technical documentation Communicating technical information clearly Knowledge Computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications Customer service practices for technology support Abilities Work effectively with users of varying technical backgrounds Maintain confidentiality of information Manage multiple support requests simultaneously Responsibility Works under limited supervision providing field support for district technology systems and assisting users with technical issues. Work Environment Work is performed in school and office environments with some physical movement associated with equipment support. Experience Job-related experience required. Education High school diploma or equivalent. Certificates and Licenses Valid Driver's License and evidence of insurability. FLSA Status Non-Exempt
