Lead Installation Technician- Richmond TEKsystems $30.00 - $35.00 / hr life insurance, paid time off, sick time, 401(k), retirement plan, company vehicle United States, Virginia, Richmond May 14, 2026
- Lead Security Systems Technician / Level 2 Technician
Location:
- Various client sites (Hospitals, Schools, County & Commercial Buildings)
Type:
- 6-Month Contract to Hire
Travel:
- Local travel required (company vehicle provided) Position Overview Seeking an experienced
- Lead Technician or Level 2 Technician
- who can work independently and is eager to grow into a leadership role. This position leads the installation, configuration, and support of enterprise security systems with minimal supervision. The right candidate will receive additional training and development to strengthen lead and supervisory skills. Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation projects for enterprise security systems including:
- Access Control
- IP-based Video Surveillance (CCTV)
- Intrusion Detection Systems
- Video Analytics and Visitor Management
- Supervise and guide installation teams on project sites
- Terminate, configure, program, and test security systems
- Manage project tracking, quality control, and timelines
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for customers
- Provide professional customer support, including remote diagnostics
- Organize and manage workload efficiently with minimal supervision
- Ensure customer satisfaction through strong communication and service Required Qualifications
- Minimum
- 3 years of hands-on experience
- installing, servicing, and programming:
- Commercial access control systems
- IP-based video systems
- Intrusion systems
- Minimum
- 3 years of experience as a project lead
- or in a supervisory role
- Strong understanding of
- IP networking
- Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions
- Excellent communication, organization, and customer interaction skills
- Professional approach to troubleshooting and remote system support Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Troubleshooting and service experience
- Experience with alarm systems
- Prior service technician experience Certifications (A Plus)

- Pro-Watch, Genetec, Software House, Lenel/S2, OpenPath
Video Systems:
- Axis, Exacq, Milestone, MaxPro, Genetec, Victor, Avigilon, Hanwha
Intrusion Systems:
- Vista, DSC, Bosch, DMP

- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
