COMMUNITY HEALTH
Community Health is a primary care network that provides nationally-recognized programs, a focus on wellness, dental, behavioral health and pediatric specialties, walk-in Express Care, a culture of community and quality health care that almost everyone, insured or uninsured, has come to depend on. The IT Specialist provides consistent, hands-on, day-to-day technology support across Community Health locations. This role owns on-site IT operations and frontline intake, including workstation setup and troubleshooting, printer and peripheral support, conference room and AV support, digital signage support, inventory and IT closet organization, e-cycling coordination, and on-site execution support for phone and badge access. The IT Specialist works collaboratively with staff, department leaders, and external vendors to ensure reliable technology operations, timely issue resolution, and a positive staff experience. Regular travel between sites is required.FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

The following are the essential functions of the job:Information Systems & On-site IT Support:
Provide on-site, hands-on IT support across Community Health locations, serving as the primary point of intake for walk-ups and on-site technology issues. Support day-to-day IT operations by following established standards, procedures, and priorities. Assist with computer systems and network performance and coordinate appropriate network access and usage as directed. Support workstation setup, moves, and troubleshooting for new hires, students, and existing staff. Assist with onboarding tasks, including new-hire device setup and basic account or access assistance as directed. Assist staff with appropriate ticket placement and provide frontline triage for issues requiring escalation. Troubleshoot printers, scanners, and other peripherals, coordinating vendor support when necessary. Provide on-site support for conference rooms, AV equipment, and digital signage, including basic troubleshooting and coordination with vendors as needed. Provide basic in-person and virtual guidance to staff on computer systems and Microsoft Office products to support technical proficiency. Collaborate with administrators, leaders, vendors, and staff to research and resolve technology-related issues. Assist with troubleshooting security badge access and coordinate vendor support as needed.Asset, Inventory, and Lifecycle Support:
Maintain documentation and inventory of IT hardware and related equipment. Support IT closet organization, device tracking, deployment, and equipment moves. Coordinate and document secure e-cycling and disposal of decommissioned hardware.Vendor Coordination & Telecommunications:
Coordinate with external IT vendors and service providers to support day-to-day operational needs, following established standards and escalation paths. Provide frontline assistance with basic phone and telecommunications issues and coordinate vendor tickets or service requests as needed. Support device procurement, replacement, and user adds or removals in coordination with the Senior IT Specialist and approved vendors. Assist with the coordination of system upgrades, hardware refreshes, and other IT changes, ensuring work is executed according to established plans. Serve as an on-site point of contact for vendor-supported work, facilitating access, scheduling, and issue resolution.Security, Compliance, and Audit Support:
Support IT security practices by following established procedures and escalating issues appropriately. Provide execution support for the Security Risk Assessment (SRA), HIPAA risk assessments, and audits as directed, in coordination with the Corporate Compliance Officer and the Director of IT Applications.Training, Documentation, and Communication:
Assist with the development and maintenance of IT instructional materials and user guidance. Support IT training for new employees, staff, providers, and provide ongoing assistance as needed. Provide at-the-elbow assistance during orientation as needed to help new staff successfully complete initial IT setup steps. Assist with updates to the Information Technology/EMR section of the intranet as requested.Other Duties:
Assist with onsite support for clinical and operational technology platforms as needed, including x-ray, dental, ultrasound, and digital signage, in coordination with appropriate owners. Travel to all Community Health locations as required. Perform other duties as assigned.SKILLS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS
Associate's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent experience in a health-related field is strongly preferred. Knowledge of computer operations systems. Experience supporting end users, devices, or technology systems in a professional environment Relevant experience may include internships, work‑study positions, academic labs, help desk roles, or customer‑facing technical support Healthcare or EMR exposure is helpful but not required Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products. Strong oral and written communication skills. Technical capacity. Communication proficiency. Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and maintain confidentiality. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and effectively manage time. Must be able to work well with employees in all positions and external entities. Ability to lift and move hardware and IT equipment up to 40 lbs.HOW WE SUPPORT YOU
