QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent AA degree or vocational certification in computer repair; A+ Certification desired Four years experience repairing computers and related peripheral equipment Valid Washington State driver's license
GENERAL INFORMATION
Hours per day and days per year to be mutually agreed upon between supervisor and employee. Supports and maintains Chromebook/PC/Apple hardware and software including new computer setup, images, software installation, upgrades, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting. Develops work plans for projects, sets deadlines, ensures timely and effective completion of projects for overall customer satisfaction. Documents, following established guidelines, technical documentation for use by others in IS. Follows established protocols, procedures, and policies, and meets arranged service level agreements. Maintains journals, updating steps taken for corrective action, provides status updates to customers regarding problem tickets. Experiences frequent interruptions and conflicting demands; may need to lift or carry heavy items (up to 100 pounds) and bend and twist while moving equipment. Travel between work sites district-wide required. May experienceoccasional exposure to high noise levels and hazardous settings. Information Services/Computer Technician pay level begins at $37.99 for the 2025-2026 school year and is expected to increase for the 2026-2027 school year.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(include and are not limited to): Provides daily operational support in a Help Desk environment; maintains work orders and documentation for all assigned work Provides reliable, accurate, and courteous computer operations support Performs maintenance and configurations for new, upgrades, and replacement desktops and laptops, including hardware and software installations and configurations Assists and educates users in proper techniques for system operation Assists IS team members with analysis of system problems and outages Keeps abreast of basic requirements for compliance, participates in training on regulatory issues Promotes a safe work environment, participates in Environmental Health and Safety programs Performs other related duties and assignments as assigned Attachment(s):
