Salary Placement:
New employees will start at the minimum hourly rate in the classification salary range. However, employees who have verified prior years of service of similar occupational experience may receive experience credit towards salary step placement. SUMMARY STATEMENT
Under the direction of the Computer Maintenance Technicians and Information Technology Services Manager, assistants are responsible for performing a wide variety of duties relating to the needs of the Technology Support Services at Information Technology.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist Hardware Technicians in upgrades, repairs, installations and maintenance of the districts computer systems and associated equipment. Perform equipment surplus duties and keep accurate records of work performed. Assist in general housekeeping of technical repair areas. Perform inventory duties such as barcoding and recording of new equipment. Create an accurate audit trail of work performed. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Personal computer knowledge preferred, but not required. Strong interest in learning Microsoft Windows and Google platforms is essential. Must be able to work well with minimum supervision and meet deadlines. Strong organizational, teamwork, and communication skills a must. Must be able to keep clear and accurate records.
