Posted October 01, 2026NEW Job Description We are seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer to join a growing cybersecurity team. This individual will play a key role in developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise security programs, policies, and controls while helping protect critical systems, data, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical security background, experience supporting both cloud and on-premise environments, and the ability to mentor junior security team members. This position offers exposure to a broad range of security functions rather than focusing on a single specialty area. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies, standards, and procedures.
Serve as a security subject matter expert and advisor across the organization.
Partner with project teams to ensure secure implementation of new technologies and systems.
Monitor security controls and compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
Coordinate incident response efforts and participate in security investigations.
Support security tools including SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, MFA, and logging platforms.
Analyze security risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Create security documentation, alerts, reports, and communications.
Collaborate with external security partners for threat detection and monitoring.
Mentor and support junior members of the security team. Qualifications 3+ years of cybersecurity or information security experience (senior-level experience preferred).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or a related field.
Strong understanding of information security principles, risk management, and auditing.
Experience with vulnerability management, patch management, SAML, MFA, and security monitoring tools.
Experience supporting both cloud and on-premise environments, preferably AWS.
Knowledge of incident response, SIEM, EDR, and operational security practices.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
CISSP certification preferred.
Experience with
PCI, SOC
1, HIPAA, or similar compliance frameworks is a plus.
