Position Summary The ITAM Data Platform Engineer is responsible for the administration, automation, security, monitoring, and operational support of enterprise data platforms and associated data services. This role spans traditional ITAM functions as well as broader responsibilities involving data platforms, CMDB administration, automation tooling, identity integrations, reporting platforms, and cloud‑based services. The position plays a critical role in ensuring data availability, integrity, security, performance, and operational compliance across multiple enterprise systems and platforms. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Automation, Integration & Data Engineering Develop and maintain automation using SQL, PowerShell, Power Platform, Logic Apps, and scheduled tasks. Build and standardize data loading processes, including structured and unstructured (JSON) data ingestion. Utilize APIs (Microsoft Graph, Device42, Freshservice, ControlUp, Workday, Tenable, Cisco DNA, etc.) to support custom integrations and automated workflows. Leverage Microsoft Power Platform and its corresponding APIs/gateways for monitoring, and reporting mechanisms. Support Microsoft Fabric data platform. Platform, CMDB & Asset Management Administer and maintain the CMDB as unstructured data (JSON) within database and reporting platforms. Design, implement, and maintain CMDB database structures, views, reports, and data refresh processes. Administer Device42, including discovery jobs, integrations, API usage, updates, certificates, SSO, and data remediation. Administer Freshservice asset mappings, integrations, workflows, and data exports. Troubleshoot and resolve data conflicts between Device42, Freshservice, and related systems. Create training and process documentation for CMDB, Device42, and related platforms. Operational Support Provide on‑call support coverage and participate in incident response. Coordinate with application vendors and internal teams for platform issues and enhancements. Design and maintain automated operational schedules, reports, and monitoring dashboards. Qualifications Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent 4 years hands‑on experience. Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise SQL Server environments and associated data platforms. General Skills Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities across data solutions, integrations, and automation. Ability to design, document, and support complex data and automation solutions. Strong operational discipline with attention to performance, security, and reliability. Effective communication skills for technical documentation, training, and cross‑team collaboration. Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in production environments.

Skills SQL Server, PowerShell Azure Log Analytics Microsoft Fabric Power Platform (Power BI, Power BI Gateway, Power BI APIs, etc…) SharePoint Online API‑driven integrations Office 365 stack Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Relevant certifications in data platform automation or cloud technologies are preferred but not required. Other Qualifications Experience working in regulated, audit‑sensitive environments. Familiarity with change management, production release controls, and operational governance. Willingness to participate in on‑call rotations and after‑hours operational support.
