Job Description
Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Secret Systems Engineer to support a federal client in Mesa, AZ. This person will support the F-16 Mission Tactics Trainer environment, ensuring the simulator infrastructure remains operational, secure, and compliant. While the title is Network Engineer, the day-to-day is more focused on systems and infrastructure support within an existing Windows-based environment, with some Linux exposure and network troubleshooting responsibilities. - Administer and support Windows Server environments.
- Maintain Active Directory, user accounts, permissions, and system configurations.
- Support virtualized infrastructure and simulator systems.
- Apply patches, security updates, STIG requirements, and cybersecurity controls.
- Troubleshoot system, server, and network issues impacting simulator operations.
- Analyze connectivity and network performance issues using tools such as Wireshark.
- Support existing network infrastructure and assist with network testing activities.
- Work with system administrators, technicians, and engineers to maintain the training environment.
- Respond to trouble tickets and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
- Assist with configuration management and documentation.
- Support occasional Linux/ RHEL systems within the environment.
Compensation:
$60/hr- 65/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/. Skills and Requirements- Active Secret Security Clearance (or ability to maintain one)
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
- 6+ years of relevant IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or systems administration experience with a Bachelor's degree; 4+ years with a Master's; or 10+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
- Strong Windows Server administration and support experience
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining enterprise IT infrastructure and multi-user systems
- Experience with system hardening, cybersecurity compliance, and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- Experience with software installation, patch management, security updates, and configuration management
- Understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts
- Experience analyzing network traffic and troubleshooting connectivity issues using Wireshark or similar tools
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting networked environments, servers, and infrastructure systems
- Ability to work in a classified DoD environment and support mission-critical training systems
