- Acron Aviation designs, engineers, and manufactures certified avionics systems that support safety-critical flight operations across commercial and military aviation.
Within Avionics, the Surveillance product line develops and sustains systems that enable aircraft awareness, collision avoidance, and airspace interoperability. Our portfolio includes TCAS, Mode S transponders, ADS-B, and integrated surveillance solutions deployed across commercial, military, and rotorcraft platforms. This work is performed in highly regulated environments and demands deep expertise across systems, hardware, software, and RF throughout the full product lifecycle.

- Position Summary:
- Acron Aviation is seeking a Systems Avionics Engineer to support the development, integration, verification, and certification of advanced airborne surveillance and avionics systems.
This role serves as a technical contributor responsible for transforming customer and stakeholder needs into validated system solutions while leading system integration and verification efforts across the product lifecycle. We are looking for a candidate that has strong project management skills and cutting-edge technical know-how. This role demands that you have the ability and desire to work with a variety of functions and teams to find solutions and then you must be comfortable implementing those solutions. You must be flexible and dynamic and proactively communicate with your co-workers, management and customers alike. Finally, you must excel in managing your own time and prioritizing multiple requests and demands, and you must thrive in an environment where you enjoy making contributions that positively impact the company's success.
- Key Responsibilities
- + Develop new system architectures and designs to meet customer, product, and regulatory requirements.
+ Author and maintain system specifications, requirements, and supporting technical documentation.
+ Support system modeling activities, including model development, validation, and analysis.
+ Develop, execute, and document system-level test procedures and automated test scripts to verify system performance and functionality.
+ Analyze test results, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance with requirements.
+ Support system modeling and verification efforts through testing, data analysis, and performance evaluation.
+ Participate in flight test activities, including test preparation, execution support, data collection, and post-flight analysis.
+ Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams to define requirements, resolve technical issues, and support project objectives.
+ Coordinate effectively with software engineering, hardware engineering, program management, project leadership, customer support, and other stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
+ Contribute to the continuous improvement, development, and maintenance of engineering processes, standards, and best practices.
+ Support the design, integration, testing, certification, and sustainment of company products and systems.
+ Provide technical support for product enhancements, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities throughout the product lifecycle.
+ Prepare and present technical information, findings, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
- Required Qualifications
- + Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline + Must have 4
- 9 years of directly related professional experience preferably in the avionics industry + Experience must include writing systems requirements, systems validation procedures, system test development and system test execution. + Knowledge of ARP-4754A and DO-178 processes + Experience with avionics products (XPDR/TCAS/TAWS/ADS-B Out/ADS-B In Applications)
- Preferred Additional Skills
- + Good interpersonal skills and can work with multiple teams, and work directly with Acron customers + Demonstrates ability to take initiative to eliminate barriers and uses resources to ensure desired results + Ability to work with teams through conflict, clarify objectives, and develop consensus and buy-in as required + Ability to see the big picture and advocate integration of systems within the work group + Fosters an environment that promotes creativity and innovation + Self-motivated with good communication skills + Experience in systems engineering, MATLAB, Simulink, and Python is welcomed.
+ Experience with programming languages C or C++ is welcomed.
