#90209 Job Description Our DoD/Aerospace Client is seeking an Advanced Space Systems Engineer to support the development of advanced space-based systems and mission-critical technologies. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge engineering efforts involving digital signal processing, communications systems, and complex space payload architectures. The position is based in Scottsdale, Arizona and is 100% onsite . The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary engineering environment supporting the design, analysis, integration, and testing of advanced defense and aerospace systems.

$70.04/hour

Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience or Master's degree with 3+ years of related experience
Schedule:
100% Onsite (9/80 schedule may be available)
Clearance Requirement:
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required Position Overview As the Advanced Space Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for supporting the development, analysis, integration, and testing of advanced space-based systems utilizing digital signal processing technologies. This position works closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop and evaluate hardware and software solutions supporting mission-critical space programs. The role includes applying systems engineering principles to the analysis of signal parameter measurements, detection and estimation techniques, communications systems, and RF signal processing. You will participate in technical planning, systems modeling, requirements development, performance analysis, and hardware/software integration activities. Working within a highly collaborative engineering environment, you will contribute to the successful delivery of advanced space systems while supporting innovation across communications, payload development, and digital engineering initiatives. What You Bring to the
Table:
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field 5+ years of related engineering experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years of related experience Experience with digital signal processing (DSP) algorithm development Knowledge of Detection & Estimation Theory, Random Processes Analysis, and Communications & Information Theory Working knowledge of MATLAB and associated DSP toolboxes Understanding of systems engineering principles, concepts, and technical standards Experience with requirements management and system modeling tools Ability to support complex technical analysis and engineering development activities U.S. Citizenship required Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance

Experience with Python SmallSat and CubeSat development experience Experience with hardware prototype development FlatSat development and testing experience Hardware integration and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing experience Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering background with communications or DSP focus Agile hardware, software, or firmware development experience DevOps and CI/CD experience Digital Engineering experience Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience Experience with SysML, MagicDraw, and Cameo Radar signal processing experience RF effects mitigation and signal processing experience Monte Carlo analysis experience Phased array and beamforming experience Experience with space payload design, development, integration, and testing Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn emerging technologies Ability to identify opportunities to leverage AI for innovation and continuous improvement Demonstrated success working in collaborative, team-oriented environments
