Job Description
Our client, a leading federal defense contractor is seeking Systems Engineers to make the world-s most advanced Space Payloads & Avionics even smarter. As a Systems Engineer for our client's Space group, you will be part of a large engineering team that builds payloads that go on satellites. You will be supporting a number of flight programs in various stages. This role is 100% onsite at our client's facility in Scottsdale, AZ.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers, mission partners, and other key stakeholders to translate requirements into robust system designs within a fast-moving timeline.
- Decomposition of end-to-end system requirements into architecture, design, interfaces, and test cases
- Coordination with developers and integration and test teams to ensure component development meet system mission needs.
- Build HW/SW/Firmware that go on space-based systems Required Skills
- Must be US Citizen due to government requirement
- Must be willing to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM field and 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
- Clear understanding of requirements management and system modeling tools
- Space experience is required whether it be component level or devices that are able to sustain space environments
- including thermal effects, etc.
- Experience with Digital Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)/SySML/MagicDraw/Cameo
- Working knowledge of MATLAB for DSP using related toolboxes
- Experience with digital signal processing algorithm development for the statistical analysis of signal parameter measurements utilizing techniques from Detection & Estimation Theory
- Random Processes Analysis, and Communications and Information Theory.
- Background with Radar Processing
- DSP for mitigating/processing RF effects
- Python scripting
- Monte Carlo analysis or Phased Array/Beam Forming is a plus.
- Experience in Space Payloads Design, Development or I&T is a plus
