As a Systems Engineer, you'll design, integrate, and optimize complex systems that drive the semiconductor industry forward. Your expertise in systems thinking and problem-solving is essential as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop advanced solutions to intricate processes and writing system specifications. You'll be responsible for analyzing requirements, defining system architectures, conducting thorough testing, and ensuring seamless integration of subsystems. Additionally, you'll identify and mitigate risks, confirming that our systems meet the highest quality standards and exceed customer expectations. Assist with system prototype development and build, as well as provide feedback to other teams in a timely manner, and effectively communicate solutions to relevant engineers Design and perform iterative testing in a systematic manner to ensure systems meet specifications Develop workflows for system calibration and data acquisition Look for ways to improve system commissioning process for consistency and scalability Be able to adapt and provide feedback quickly to changes in a prototype system with demanding deadlines Be detail-oriented and diligent in documenting changes and notes as the product is developed. Install finished product at customer sites and conduct site acceptance testing with customers present Assist with customer demos and applications Skills Able to work independently to formulate and test hypotheses Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a team environment Excellent data analysis skills: ability analyze and manipulate large datasets quickly Ability to multitask and set priorities according to current demands Ability to deliver solutions under tight deadlines Qualifications Bachelor of Science or Engineering required (Mechanical, Electrical, Physics, or Materials Science) Work experience/Master's/Ph.D. is a plus Be able to travel domestically and internationally to assist with in-field installations (max expected percentage travel is 10%, but subject to change) Additional Skills of Interest Familiarity or experience with X-ray systems, specifically XRF is a strong plus Experience in Python scripting is a strong plus Experience with hardware control (motion control systems and automation/robotics) is a plus Familiarity or experience with optics and microscopes is a plus Understanding of semiconductor industry trends is a plus
