Job Description

SAP Basis Infrastructure Architect -
Location:
Carlsbad, CA (50% travel required) -
Duration:
12 months Independent candidates only!
Required Qualifications and Experience:
18 20+ years of overall IT experience, with substantial experience in SAP Basis and infrastructure architecture. Demonstrated experience as an SAP Basis Architect, SAP Technical Architect, or Infrastructure Architect on large-scale SAP transformation programs. Proven leadership of at least one major
SAP S/4HANA
Bluefield or Selective Data Transition program; multiple end-to-end programs are preferred. Strong experience with SAP ECC to
SAP S/4HANA
transformation, including complex multi-system landscapes. Deep expertise in SAP Basis administration, architecture, installations, upgrades, system copies, kernel maintenance, transport management, and troubleshooting. Strong
SAP HANA
database architecture, administration, sizing, performance, and migration knowledge. Experience with infrastructure architecture across on-premises, private cloud, or hyperscaler environments. Proven experience in high availability, disaster recovery, backup and recovery, performance engineering, and capacity planning. Experience managing technical cutovers, mock migrations, downtime optimization, production go-live, and hypercare. Strong stakeholder management, architecture governance, technical documentation, and team leadership skills.
